‘Anthropocene’ at Serpentine Galleries | Mithridate SS21
Mithridate’s Spring Summer 2021 collection, entitled ‘Anthropocene’, is translated into a performance installation by artists Ania Catherine and Dejha Ti with an original score by Daniele Mana.
The actions of the models/performers are a metaphor for the necessity for collective and individual human action.
The piece should stir a feeling in the audience, a sense of urgency, that humanity can’t just exist and continue as we have been, collectively we have to make changes, actively work together to rewrite the status quo. We must U-turn and start respecting planetary boundaries.
