OPEN CALL — ACTORS SOUGHT
HUMAN UNREADABLE ACT III PREMIERE
WHITNEY MUSEUM OF AMERICAN ART
Seeking actors for the role of Dialogue Performer in Act III, a new evening-length performance by artist duo Operator (Dejha Ti & Ania Catherine), the culmination of their seminal work Human Unreadable, at The Whitney Museum.
The show unfolds over five chapters, with the Dialogue Table being a “cafe table” setup aside the stage as a central context mechanism for the audience, comprised of 3 performers each who embody multiple "personas" (for example: historian, curator, or the +1) that provide commentary at key points in each chapter through these various lenses.
The performance will include both scripted and improvised elements, and requires significant text delivery by a confident performer who is comfortable with embodying different affects/personas and a sustained presence throughout an 80 minute performance with moments of solo, dialogue, and silence. This role will sit alongside two other Dialogue Performers and is a consistent presence in the show, with lines in each of its five chapters.
